Available Positions
We are currently seeking experienced applicants for the following key culinary and BOH roles.
Sous Chef
A senior leadership role responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, controlling inventory, and overseeing the entire culinary team in the absence of the Head Chef. This role requires strong leadership and operational expertise.
Chef De Partie (CDP)
An experienced section leader responsible for managing a specific station (e.g., grill, sauté, cold larder). Duties include food preparation, quality control, and training Commis Chefs. This role requires technical proficiency and team management.
Bakery Chef
Specialized role focused on preparing all breads, doughs, and baked items for the restaurants. This requires expertise in both regional and contemporary baking techniques.
Pastry Chef
Specialized role focused on the production of all desserts, pastries, and sweet finishes. Responsible for menu development in the pastry section, execution, and presentation.
Butcher
Dedicated position responsible for all butchery operations, including portion control, meat preparation, quality checks, and maintaining health standards for all protein items, ensuring zero waste.
Demi Chef De Partie (Demi CDP)
A semi-supervisory role supporting the CDP, focusing on high-level preparation tasks, production flow, and maintaining the highest sanitation standards in the assigned section.
Commis
Entry-level culinary role assisting all senior chefs in daily food preparation, ingredient organization, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen sections. This is a foundational role focused on learning and execution.
Key Responsibilities (Across All Roles)
Uphold NHG’s commitment to Excellence by consistently preparing dishes to the highest standards of quality, flavor, and presentation.
Adhere strictly to all recipe specifications, portion controls, inventory management protocols, and food safety regulations.
Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment, emphasizing efficiency and safety.
Collaborate effectively with all kitchen and FOH staff to ensure smooth service execution during peak hours.
Demonstrate resourcefulness and adaptability in a dynamic, high-volume culinary environment.
Required Qualifications
Sous Chef/CDP: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel kitchen.
Specialty Roles (Bakery, Pastry, Butcher): Minimum of 3 years of dedicated experience in the specified area.
Demi CDP/Commis: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting.
Formal culinary education (Diploma or Degree) is highly desirable.
Demonstrated knowledge of advanced cooking techniques, food handling, and storage safety.
Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must possess valid documentation and the eligibility to work in the State of Qatar.
